The need of sharing and evaluating selenium research conducted worldwide during and post the pandemic provides the impetus for continuing this conference series on International Conference on Selenium in the Environment and Human Health. Based upon the overwhelming success at the first six International Conferences on Selenium in the Environment and Human Health, including

  • The 1st Conference held in Suzhou, China.
  • The 2nd Conference held in Suzhou, China.
  • The 3rd Conference held in Hefei, China.
  • The 4th Conference held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
  • The 5th Conference held in Stockholm, Sweden.
  • The 6th Conference held in Xi’an, China.

The 7th International Conference on Selenium in the Environment and Human Health will take place on September 24-28 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 7th

International Conference

The 7th International Conference will offer an excellent platform for scientists, environmental, health and biological professionals working on all aspects of selenium across multitude disciplines to present their state-of-the-art research findings, exchange research ideas, and initiate future collaborative research programs.

Given Thailand’s new position in Asia of advancing selenium research related to reducing selenium deficiencies in most of its population, while acknowledging the existence of both its selenium-deficient and selenium-rich soils, the world community of selenium researchers will converge in Bangkok and create a new vision on selenium research. The International Society for Selenium Research extends its gratitude and sincere thanks to TISTR, Kasetsart University, its faculty, and their volunteering students. This conference is a result of group participation from all of us on a great subject – “selenium” – which is taking place in a fantastic location – Bangkok, Thailand. Prof. Dr Chutima Eamchotchawalit, Governor of Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research.

The Conference

The Conference will be held at Radisson Blu Plaza in Bangkok. The conference will provide a great platform for participants who will discuss strategies for improving selenium’s impact on the environment and biological systems. We have all the components needed to have a successful conference, as well as a selenium-enriching experience for all. Enjoy, and learn from each other.

Remember Selena’s favorite phrase –
Long live selenium and live long with selenium.
